I routinely post interesting pictures from my work and travels to my Picasa page. Many of these are also available on the travels section of my blog.

A few of the more interesting albums are highlighted below - enjoy.

4 December, 2009 - A day in the field with a New York City weatherization crew. These are the folks who help low-income families make their homes more energy efficient thanks to grants from the US Department of Energy.

They’ll install insulation, caulk up the windows, replace old light bulbs for newer, more efficient ones, among other measures known as “weatherization.”

This crew allowed me to follow them around throughout their day for a feature I wrote on the the growth and sustainability of “green” jobs like weatherization.

26 November, 2009 - Fall weather at Steep Rock Park in Connecticut on Thanksgiving Day.

11 November, 2009 - Annual Veterans Day Parade in New York City. This year, the marching bands were lining up right outside my office in Flatiron, so I decided to go downstairs during lunch and check out some of the action along 5th Avenue.

10 November, 2009 - Public hearing at Stuyvesant High School in Lower Manhattan on the proposed natural gas drilling in New York’s upstate watershed. I was there covering the event for The Green Standard.

27 October, 2009 - Visit to “The Space” in Long Island City. The Space is a nonprofit that provides artists free studio space where they can go produce their art. I was there working on a multimedia feature (available here) on one of their artists. They were also in the midst of moving to a new location.

Summer  2007 - A tour of some of Poland’s historic sites from World War II, including the Museum of the Warsaw uprising.

Fall 2005 - Some of my favorite pictures from my travels in Australia and New Zealand

Fall 2005 - Australian flora and fauna
